Vol. 3: Catalyst
The key element…
That thing that makes it all happen faster, that person whose energy switches it all on, that event which becomes a point of no return. They lower the threshold to set them in motion; they provide, create, or affect necessary conditions. The funny thing about catalysts, in the classic definition, is that they’re not actually consumed by the reactions they accelerate. But we’re not necessarily looking for textbook catalysts—they’re all around us, in every form. Some we create for ourselves in a moment of inspiration or passion. Where do they come from, and what becomes of them? That’s what we want to know.
